Metal Self-ligating Braces
In our office, we most commonly use self-ligating brackets which use a built-in system to secure the archwire. This ligation method is different from the traditional braces, in which tiny elastics, called oties, or metal ties are attached to each individual bracket to hold the archwire into place.
Ceramic Self-ligating Braces
In our office, Ceramic brackets are placed onto the upper teeth only. These brackets adapt to the patient's natural tooth color and similar to metal, these brackets are self ligating and have the same strength and reliability.
